Appealing a Registration Committee Decision

If you are not satisfied with the Registration Committee’s decision, you will have an option of asking the Committee to review new information or you may appeal the decision to the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board (HPARB):

Request a 2nd File Review – If you have new information for the Committee’s consideration, you can submit a letter of request for review to the Committee.

Health Professions Appeal and Review Board – HPARB is an independent tribunal, established by the provincial government, for all health professions. After you have received the committee’s written decision, you have 30 days to request a review by HPARB.

HPARB may confirm the Registration Committee’s decision; ask the Registration Committee to direct the Registrar to issue a licence; or refer the matter back to the Registration Committee for further consideration.
