Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program - VSTEP (closed)

The College's bridging program — the Veterinary Skills Training and Enhancement Program (VSTEP) has closed. The VSTEP program strived for many years to enroll a sufficient amount of Ontario applicants into the program, and to self-sustain without additional government funding. The program was deemed not to be meeting the needs of enough internationally educated veterinarians in Ontario. In order to better understand the supports that internationally educated veterinarians need to transition into practice in Ontario, the College received funding from the Ontario government to conduct a research project. The final report from the research project was presented to Council and a review of the report’s recommendations is now underway.
