Professional Practice Standards & Policy 

The College's policy documents increase the clarity of the College's expectations of all veterinarians. Professional Practice Standards state the generally accepted behaviours expected of veterinarians for a particular aspect of their work. The College is attentive to ensuring policy debate is focused on the safety and quality of veterinary medicine. The College sets and upholds standards of practice. Standards and the Role of the Regulator provides a helpful reference on the differences between standard of practice, standard of care and clinical practice guidelines.
